CRM Marketing Manager

Dormify is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and customer-centric marketer that will be responsible for developing and owning the lifecycle marketing strategy, using CRM channels such as email and SMS, and ensuring that all campaigns are built and executed in line with our brand values. This is an opportunity to make a big and immediate impact through educated improvements and creating compelling brand stories and creative.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for developing and executing end-to-end CRM strategies to convert new users to first order, and continually engage and retain them throughout their lifecycle.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools to develop transactional, promotional, and informational content strategies that maximize customer retention and acquisition.
  • Manage creation and execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns that deliver against business goals for assigned work flows.
  • Establish, report on, and improve KPIs for all campaigns / communications.
  • Constantly analyze the data and establish A/B testing plans to ensure channels are being optimized.
  • Act as a key partner to the business as the voice of the customer and CRM best practices expert.
  • Proactively bring ideas to improve the overall program and be a champion of change with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Playbooking and documentation, keeping in mind that the learnings from today will pave the way for growth in the future.
  • Partner with our CX, Brand & communications teams to ensure communications are on-brand and impactful.

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in the Ecommerce customer marketing, customer communications, or the customer engagement space.
  • A track record of demonstrable business results through testing and deploying effective marketing campaigns across different channels.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a team to concept, build, execute, and report on campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to balance rigorous attention to details with swift execution.
  • A self-starting attitude, ready to embrace opportunities to make an impact without needing to be told.
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities.
  • Experience with A/B testing, messaging, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Strong understanding of CRM tools and Google Analytics, and a desire to “get your hands dirty” in the data to understand performance.
  • Ability to relocate, or currently located in New York, NY.

Junior Copywriter

This is an opportunity to have a big, immediate impact and shape the voice of Dormify during a pivotal time.

  • Play a key role in developing and maintaining the Dormify voice through writing clear, detailed copy that embodies our fun-loving and “big sister” personality
  • Write and edit site copy including product descriptions for web; create keyword-rich content, tag lines and product descriptions to engage customers and optimize for SEO
  • Write and edit compelling marketing emails, including subject lines, with the goal of maximizing open rate, click-through rate and conversion
  • Write and edit enticing Facebook Ad copy, with the goal of maximizing traffic to site and conversion
  • Work with creative and marketing teams to concept campaigns and messaging across digital, print, video, and out of home channels
  • Maintain the brand tone of voice across multiple channels, ensuring consistency in messaging
  • Write copy for new product launches, event invites, in-store signage or any other customer or industry-facing assets

What you'll need:

  • 0-2 years of copy experience (relevant internships count!), particularly in the consumer goods or e-commerce space; prior experience writing product copy as well as for email marketing, Facebook ads, and SEO a bonus
  • Adaptable and willing to jump into a broad range of projects. Whether writing a compelling subject line, witty social caption, or an e-commerce product description, you will have experience across multiple mediums.
  • Loves college (or did) and has a passion for making the college experience for others the best it can be
  • Interest in interior design and current trends is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail in copyediting and proofreading
  • Ability to relocate, or currently located in New York, NY.

Customer Experience Associate

Dormify simplifies the decor shopping experience for college students and post-grads by creating exclusive products specifically designed for small space living without sacrificing style. We aim to make the transition from home to a new dorm room or apartment easy and exciting! Whether they want to create an original look or have a pre-styled room arrive at their doorstep - we have them covered. And we’re looking to build our team! We are looking for an energetic, design-savvy, people-person to join our team and help make their Dormify shopping experience as stress-free and fun as possible.

What you'll do:

You will be our customer service extraordinaire, responsible for customer interaction, whether it be providing information on our products or services, responding to inquiries, and resolving any problems! Not only will you be working with our customers to ensure their shopping experience is a positive one, you will also be working with our vendors + fulfillment center to guarantee all aspects of the transaction are handled properly. As a Customer Experience Associate and Small Space Stylist, you will work virtually with our customers to create a space they will love.

Plus fun things like:

  • Work collaboratively with customers by phone, e-mail, text, live chat and/or social media channels.
  • Learn and work under the Dormify style philosophy as well as develop a clear understanding of all product lines and policies inside and out. You’ll speak our language in no time!
  • Offer advice and ideas on small space style and college life to our audiences in creative ways.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions, concerns and suggestions and resolve customer issues.
  • Document returns and exchanges properly for accurate record keeping.
  • Relay all necessary information to our internal team regarding customer matters.

You're right for the role if you have

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in customer service, retail and/or interior design/home furnishings role OR a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
  • You have a love for interior design!
  • Love to interface with customers/clients and a drive to do what it takes to satisfy them.
  • Flawless verbal and written communication skills.
  • A knack for coming up with creative solutions to any problems by searching and finding information, analyzing data, identifying product fits, and coming up with creative, out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Skillful at gathering and interpreting data to effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Ability to effectively and productively work with others as a team, while operating as an independent self-starter.
  • A love of Google docs.
  • An understanding of the Dormify philosophy and aesthetic to utilize our products as well as creative thinking to transform a space.

What You'll Do

You will manage the store & support the Store Manager in all aspects of the business. This includes overseeing store operations, personnel (training/coaching stylists), merchandising of the store, enforcing DFY’s policies and procedures and ensuring sales goals are met.

Typical tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all store operations alongside the SM
    • Sales processes, orders & payments
    • Opening & closing the store
    • Help manage appointment calendar
    • Maintaining store standards (visual, windows, cleaning, etc.)
  • Assist the SM in supervising, managing, training & coaching stylists
    • Assign individual sales goals to stylists based on daily sales goals
    • Hold stylists accountable for achieving sales goals and customer service experience standards
    • Motivating/rewarding employees
    • Help create/design in-store contests
    • Assign breaks/lunches to stylists according to home state law
  • Monitor store inventory/showroom samples
  • Product knowledge- Be able to speak about every product in showroom, know price points & train stylists
  • Help resolve any customer issues at store level when possible and communicating with customer service when necessary
  • Responsible for ensuring ALL store policies & procedures are followed
  • Maintain overall management style that follows Dormify’s company policy while setting an example for all stylists/associates to follow

We are a home decor e-commerce company that offers stylish, high quality designs for teen bedrooms, dorm rooms and first apartments along with design inspiration to help young adults create a space that reflects their style preferences and tastes. Our team is full of innovative, nimble thinkers who wear many hats. We work hard, have fun, and love to see our customers creation come to life.

The summer is our busiest season as we help prepare our customers to style their dorm looks. Emerging into the market this summer, Dormify Pop-Up Shops will act as a direct extension of our online brand allowing customers to interact with the product on a personal level.

Responsibilites:

As a Dormify Stylist you will be working directly with customers, assisting them during one-on-one Stylist Sessions to outfit their space. You will maximize sales through scheduled appointments as well as walk-in consultations. Aside from representing Dormify, typical tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting Dormify through your own network, actively prospecting new clientele
  • Managing your own appointment schedule including pre and post sale activities
  • During scheduled appointments, you will:
    • Assess the customer’s needs
    • Educate them about dorm living and necessities
  • Recommend the best Dormify product to match their personal style
  • Place orders utilizing merchandise found on Dormify.com
  • Assisting walk-in clients
  • Staffing all Dormify Events - both in and out of the Pop-Up Shop
  • Maintaining a clean, safe working environment while providing the best customer experience
  • Focusing on achieving and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals on an individual and store level
  • Follow through with customers post sale
  • Follow up with thank you notes or messages, focusing on excellent customer service pre, during and post appointment
  • Be responsible for special projects that could include:
    • Social Media: Promote your pop up through facebook and instagram using specific pages created specifically for that pop up
    • This can include but is not limited to: showcasing customers with their bed post appointment to the instagram story, promoting product throughout the pop up shop, pushing product when it launches/when there is a need to, allowing instagram followers to get a glimpse into a styling appointment, creating campaigns (such as stylists picks) to push product, promoting pop up shop events throughout the summer (ex: meet the founder, college nights)
    • Event Planner: Take the lead on all events, both in and out of the Pop-Up Shop
    • This can include but is not limited to: Organizing the facebook page and invitations for each specific event, organizing food, supplies, and decorations, networking to ensure the success of the event, ensuring that the event is being adequately promoted and accurately represented on social media, ensuring that there are enough stylists to staff the event.
    • Visual Merchandising: Guaranteeing that the pop up shop accurately represents the product Dormify has to offer
    • This can include but is not limited to: Making sure that the look and feel is on point, ensuring that all product is easily visible for stylists to access, keeping things organized both in the front of the pop up shop and in the back, removing trash from the pop up shop and maintaining its cleanliness
