Dormify is searching for an energetic and design-savvy Customer Experience Associate to join our team of dedicated customer advocates, providing top tier service through email, phone, live chat, text, and social media channels. You will be our customer service extraordinaire, responsible for virtually interfacing with our Dormify.com customers beginning with their pre-purchase styling requests through post-purchase order management. Clear communication skills, close attention to detail, investigative problem solving, the ability to strategically think on your feet, high levels of empathy, and a creative eye are key success factors for this role.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with customers and deliver above-and-beyond service through email, phone, live chat, text, and social channels
  • Learn and work under the Dormify style philosophy as well as develop a clear understanding of all product lines and policies inside and out. You’ll speak our language in no time!
  • Offer advice and ideas on small space style and college life to our audiences in creative ways
  • Respond promptly to customer outreach and resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently
  • Document returns and exchanges properly for accurate record keeping
  • Be the voice of the customer by relaying relevant information and feedback internally to cross-departmental teams
  • Collaborate with our product vendors, fulfillment center, and cross-departmental teams to guarantee all aspects of the customer experience and transaction are handled properly
  • Ensure that you meet or exceed all KPI’s established for the team (i.e. Reply Time SLA’s, CSAT, etc)

What you'll need:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience in customer service, retail, account management, sales, or interior design
  • Love to interface with customers and a drive to do what it takes to satisfy them. You’re obsessed with helping people

Art Director

Dormify is actively seeking a passionate and imaginative Art Director and Designer to lead our Creative team. The Art Director is responsible for the development and execution of all creative aspects of the Dormify brand. This position is responsible for bringing innovative and compelling Creative across all channels, and will work collaboratively and cross-functionally. Our ideal candidate will inspire us with new ideas on how to grow our brand presence. This is a hands on role which will require the need for individual creative development as well as managing and mentoring the Creative team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of styling, brand design, a passion for storytelling and close attention to detail. Ability to produce high volume of assets efficiently, while reacting to trends and helping to continually evolve and elevate the brand’s aesthetics are key.

What you'll do:

  • This role is 50% conceptual and 50% executional
  • Build, mentor, and lead multi-functional creative team and external agency partners
  • Create consistent end-to-end brand experience across multiple touchpoints, including: web, email, social and paid experiences, packaging, brand photography, print collateral, and retail store design and visuals
  • Create and direct thoughtful evergreen and seasonal marketing campaigns and execute across print, video, digital, and social platforms for Dormify.com and Dormify Pop Up Shops that ladder up to marketing and business goals
  • Direct all phases of design execution, revisions, mechanical production, and artwork release
  • Own production of all creative assets including photoshoots and video production
  • Oversee all copy, photography, final printing and proofing processes; all packaging design and development in collaboration with CBO
  • Support the product development team on trends, color theory, typography and overall design for product design in all categories, particularly wall decor and accessories
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional team members (Marketing, Product Development, Retail, etc.), and provide leadership and creative solutions with enthusiastic, flexible, and positive attitude
  • Familiarize yourself with and stay in the know on cultural and social trends, especially on TikTok!

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in an art direction and design role in e-commerce, at an agency or an in-house brand creative team. Experience managing designers and copywriters required
  • Strong portfolio with branding and interactive projects, including social media
  • Passion for photography
  • Experience working collaboratively with all levels of designers and copywriters
  • Highly motivated to produce excellent creative for various touchpoints
  • An innovative approach to design
  • Superior conceptual thinking skills in both visual and interaction design

At Dormify, we lead the home decor industry in helping college students style and enhance their spaces by making their room, on or off campus apartment the perfect “home away from home”. We are a fashion and trend focused e-commerce brand that offers stylish, high quality designs for bedrooms, dorm rooms and post-grad apartment living, with inspiration that reflects personalized preferences and style. Our team is full of innovative, nimble thinkers who wear many hats. We work hard, have fun, and love to see our customers' visions come to life with the support of our Stylists. The weight and impact of these initial interactions set our customers up for college and years following.

Summer is our busiest season, and as we help prepare our customers (students and their families) to perfect the style and execution of their dorms or bedroom spaces, we are looking for an elite group of individuals to be a part of our Dormify Pop-Up Shop team. This is a direct extension of our online brand, allowing customers to interact with and receive one-on-one design help from a Dormify Stylist (which could be you!).

What you'll do:

As a Dormify Stylist, you will be working directly with customers, assisting them during one-on-one Stylist Sessions to outfit their space. You will maximize sales through scheduled appointments as well as walk-in consultations. Aside from representing Dormify as an employee, and operating within our Code of Conduct and brand values, sample tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting Dormify through your own network, actively prospecting new clientele
  • Managing your own appointment schedule including pre- and post sale activities

During scheduled appointments, you will:

  • Build a relationship with the customer and assess their goals and needs
  • Follow the Dormify customer journey guidelines throughout the appointment, incorporating education on dorm living and product essentials to support a successful move-in experience
  • Provide Dormify product(s) recommendations to match their personal style aesthetic
  • Place orders on the customer’s behalf for merchandise found on Dormify.com
  • Assist walk-in clients

You will also be responsible for:

  • Staffing Dormify Events - both in and out of the Pop-Up Shop
  • At Physical pop up locations: Maintain a clean, safe working environment while providing the best in-store customer experience
  • Focus on achieving and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals on an individual and store level
  • Follow up with customers post sale through thank you notes or messages, ensuring an excellent experience pre-, during and post appointment

Special projects could include:


Social Media: Promote your pop up or virtual styling program through facebook and instagram, using social media content created specifically for your location


  • This can include but is not limited to: showcasing customers on our instagram story with their finished bed design, allowing instagram followers to get a first hand glimpse into a styling session with snapshots and sneak peaks from a live appointment, develop creative campaigns to push product for steady sell-through, promoting product launches and promotions established by the Dormify Marketing calendar, promoting pop up shop events throughout the summer (ex: meet the founder, college nights, etc)

Event Planner: Take the lead on all events, both in and out of the Pop-Up Shop

  • This can include but is not limited to: Organizing the facebook page and invitations for each specific event, organizing food, supplies, and decorations, networking with prospective attendees to ensure the success of the event, ensuring that the event is being adequately promoted and accurately represented on social media, ensuring adequate staffing, ensuring Dormify is providing a clean and safe environment for all staff and attendees

Visual Merchandising: Guaranteeing that the pop up shop accurately represents the Dormify brand with guidance from our Visual Merchandising Team


  • This can include but is not limited to: Making sure that the look and feel of the store is on point, ensuring that all product is easily visible and accessible for customers and stylists, keeping product organized both on the floor and in the stock room/storage area, removing trash from the pop up shop and maintaining a clean and safe environment

What you'll need:

  • You’re a current college student or recent college grad that knows a thing (or two) about dorm living
  • Social and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people and building relationships
  • Strong eye for style and interior design
  • 1-2 years of selling + retail experience
  • Ability to effectively and productively work with others as a team, while operating as a motivated and independent self-starter
  • You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty to set up the floor and stockroom
  • You’re creative and driven to exceed individual and store sales goals
  • You’re organized and able to manage your own appointments and schedule

Operations and Logistics Associate

Dormify is looking for an Operations and Logistics Associate. This position will organize and oversee the inbound transportation of goods both internationally and domestically at Dormify.com. This role will be expected to monitor, maintain, and continuously improve the processes of our private label and stock purchase orders as well as assist in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations with our 3rd Party Logistics Center (3PL).

What you'll do:

  • Build & execute an inbound transportation plan to support growth in order volume
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with global shipping partners (freight forwarders) and domestic carriers, optimizing transportation modes and speed and negotiating best pricing
  • Analyze data, assess performance, and implement improvements to optimize inbound transportation spend (for example, container utilization, per unit transportation costing, duties/HTS codes, and taxes)
  • Build and maintain databases to track all inbound and import data
  • Communicate delivery dates cross functionally to ensure timely product launches
  • Become the in-house expert of the customs process on importing goods
  • Assist in managing and maintaining our 3PL’s fulfillment SLAs, forecasts, and promotion schedules
  • Work closely with the Buying and Product Team in the product development and packaging process
  • Work closely with the Customer Experience team to identify and problem solve order and receiving issues
  • Contribute to and influence the development of team goals, objectives and prioritization of goals
  • Maintain a willingness to perform any additional tasks to accomplish teamwide goals

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Importing, Logistics, or Supply Chain management or coordination; preferably in the E-Commerce industry
  • Experience working with multimodal and intermodal freight carriers, tracking import ocean freight at the SKU and container load level from origin to final destination
  • Able to demonstrate strong knowledge base of international shipping / importing requirements
  • Able to demonstrate strong understanding and experience with 3PL Ecommerce fulfillment
  • Exposure to or experience with EDI, TMS/WMS, and ERP systems
  • Proficient / Expert level in MS Excel / Google Sheets including multi-tab spreadsheets, pivot tables and vlookup function
  • Analytics; ability to gather and interpret data to further develop, build databases, recommend and implement solutions
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Dormify is looking for a high-performing analytical and collaborative Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our growing team! This person will collaborate with marketing, product development, merchandising, operations and retail to identify and implement strategies to help drive short and long-term financial performance. This includes supporting the business and financial planning process and assessing the financial opportunities associated with new growth initiatives. This is an opportunity that affords significant exposure and impact on senior-level decision making. The successful candidate will have proven experience in executing best practices, strategic planning and analysis, accounting operations, and financial management. This position reports directly to the COO.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and manage ongoing budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting processes
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify and communicate big-picture trends and drivers of revenue and analyze performance against our forecasts and long-term plan
  • Help define and connect the dots between all our planning processes and forecasting cycles, including the operating plan, performance reviews, annual budget / reforecasts and our long-term plan
  • Coordinate with the product development/merchandising and operations teams on inventory and demand forecasting
  • Drive improvement of gross margin by product category, channel and customer segments
  • Provide financial guidance and support for each department to dissect spend and track back to key operating results
  • Drive the annual budgeting and monthly re-forecasting process to ensure the team is tracking towards the appropriate metrics
  • Lead process for working capital facilities, fundraising and strategic partnerships
  • Maintain and quantify risks and opportunities in Dormify’s business performance and conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Improve financial rigor around decision making and new initiatives with business cases to assist with prioritization
  • Partner with leadership on year-end processes including compensation reviews
  • Support ongoing and ad hoc requests for financial data and analysis of key business metrics
  • Manage tri-mester reviews (Dormify’s approach to evaluating the business) by preparing schedules and producing supporting documentation
  • Lead the communication and reporting to Dormify’s leadership and board regarding the company’s financial performance
  • Partner with the President to oversee the company’s accounting functions including payables and taxes
  • Oversee the implementation and management of accounting / billing systems and controls
  • Manage relationships with Dormify’s outsourced accounting, banking, and insurance partners

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience within an operating business, ideally a retail or ecommerce business
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a quantitative field (finance, economics, business)
  • Prior consulting or investment banking background is a plus
  • Solid understanding of P&L analysis and profitability analysis and strong working knowledge of accounting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in synthesizing data and presenting conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Very strong analytical skills – extensive experience with advanced Excel analytic functions associated with building financial models from scratch with limited oversight
  • Passionate about consumer businesses and motivated to learn all aspects of a high-growth brand, aren't afraid to get into the details
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced setting
  • Results oriented – strong sense of urgency and excellent follow through
